Below are the entries from deed books (Jo White Linn) and McCubbins Fileswhich I know were the property of John Pool and/or David L. Pool. The spelling in the McCubbins Files is erratic, but the deeds may have contained spelling errors.
Deed Book 27, pg. 223; July 4, 1821, Alfred Mccay--no wife signs--lets JOHN POOL (both of Rowan Co.) have 18-3/10 acres next town of Salisbury, by the road, old line of Archibald Henderson & the bond, for $185.00, witnessed by Will F. Kelly & Thomas ALLISON & acknowdledged in Aug. 1822
