Velma and Everett began their married life on Ed Evans farm previously owned and house built by Velma`s grandfather, Gustav Mantzey (Manzei). Her father, Charles Charles Mantzey, was born on this farm, Oct. 1944. They moved south on the same road to the Lewis Morgan farm. They farmed this farm on a partnership basis for 28 years with Mr. and Mrs. Morgan, Mrs. Morgan, Anna Morgan and Bertha Beaman.
Dec. 16, 1972 this partnership was dissolved. A farm sale was held on this date by Hugh Campbel. Velma and Everett moved with their son Charles Samuel to Chillicothe, MO, 1208 Alexander Ave. Still reside there Feb. 18, 1980.
