Climb in the drivers door
Looking from the drivers door toward the sleeper. There is a
closet below and two cupboards above. We will put a TV in one of
these.
The upper bunk is down and the covers are over the lower rear
windows. The silver pole is a fold out ladder that is used to
climb into the upper bunk.
The area behind the drivers seat is similar. We will install a
refrigerator in the bottom area and a microwave in the cupboard above
it.
Sitting on the lower bunk you can see the rear light and A/C controls
on the wall. There is a cupholder that folds out of the
wall. We hope the stains will clean up with no problems.
The lower bunk will be removed and a dinette will go in it's
place. It will have a table extending out from the back wall and
bench seats on both sides.
View toward the drivers seat while seated on the lower bunk. You
can see the Autoshift lever. The transmission is a 10
speed. It requires you to use the clutch to start and stop, but
it automatically shifts up and down through the gears.
Sitting on the rear bunk looking up. There are many storage areas
and a sunroof above.
This is under the bunk with the insert lifted up. We will replace
this with a wall mounted table and bench seats on the sides.
This is one of the storage compartments on the side. The space is
under the rear bunk. There are doors on both sides.
This is a photo of the truck undergoing conversion. The center
axle was removed and the rear axle was moved forward. This result
in a 203 inch wheelbase. The frame was cut square 33 inches
behind the tire.
Another conversion photo.
You can see a section of driveshaft on the floor.
There will be fenders installed above the wheels and mudguards
suspended below light bars behind the fenders.
This is the lower left side of the dash. It is dirty beause it is
in the shop being worked on.
Here is the right side of the dash.
New look without the tandem and with the fenders and light bars
installed.
New Rear View.
The other side. The cable laying on the deck was just temporary.
